Hello, my name is Julia Lesniak! I am an Arizona native but have called the valley home for 6 years. I have a bachelors degree in Psychology and am a recent graduate of Western Colorado University’s Master of Rural Community Health program. I am deeply passionate about our little mountain community and feel so lucky to be a member of the Little Red team; contributing to an environment where children are supported, encouraged, heard, and loved. It is a privilege to watch your littles grow and gain confidence in themselves and others through learning and play!

Hi! My name is Sandra. I grew up in Macomb, Michigan, and moved to Colorado in 2014. I have lived in Colorado for the past 12 years. I have been married since 2020 and have two dogs, Calvin and Coal. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking my dogs on adventures, exploring Colorado, and enjoying time outdoors.
I have been working with children for the past 7 years and truly enjoy being a part of their learning and growth. I love watching their personalities develop and seeing the excitement they have when they learn something new.
I believe every child is unique and learns in their own way. I enjoy creating a fun, caring, and welcoming environment where children feel safe to be themselves, explore, and build confidence. One of my favorite parts of working with young children is getting to know each child and watching them grow throughout the year.

Hi, I’m Brittany! I originally moved to the Gunnison Valley in 2015 to earn my BA’s in Psychology and Art at WCU. I have worked with children my entire adult life both professionally and as a volunteer. I love seeing their unique creativity and their excitement when they discover something new. After WCU I taught English as a Second Language to young children in Uganda before moving back to my hometown of Woodland Park, CO. There I worked as a Respite Provider working with children and adults with disabilities. I’ve always loved Gunnison and knew I needed to move back, which is what I did in 2023. I’ve been teaching Preschool in the valley ever since. 

Hi, I’m Mo! I recently relocated back to Crested Butte and am really excited to be part of the local community again. I bring a diverse background in education, child development, special education, and social-emotional learning. Over the years, I have worked with children, families, and educators in a variety of settings, including schools, private programs, and community-based programs. I also founded a nonprofit focused on supporting children’s emotional well-being and have extensive experience helping children develop confidence, social skills, emotional regulation, and positive relationships.

I am passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment where children can learn and thrive. I am grateful to be back in Crested Butte and look forward to getting to know the children and families in the community of Little Red!

Hi! My name is Chloe and I have lived in Crested Butte for most of my life. I am so thankful I got the chance to grow up in such an amazing and beautiful place. Once I finished high school I moved to San Diego to study elementary education at San Diego State University. I loved the new experience of living in a big city, but after 2 years I realized how much I missed the community here and having family close by so I moved back to teach full time. I have always loved working around kids and when I was younger I spent many years as a teachers aide in school and babysitting. Now I have been working with mainly ages 3 months to 2 years for almost 4 years and I absolutely love it. Outside of teaching I love being outdoors, skiing in the winter, finding new ways to be creative, and spending more time with family now that I’m back home! I am so grateful to be doing what I love in such an amazing place!
